Amber
Reg. Dental Hygienist. Myofunctional therapy Educator
Amber graduated from Aurora Dental College in 2009. Following graduation she traveled to Kenya to help provide dental education and services to children in need. Amber joined Aurora Kids Dentistry in May 2013. After working in general practice, Amber decided to focus on her passion of working with children. This passion developed after many years of her parents providing a home for foster children. Amber also has completed studies in Myofunctional therapy and is a key provider for our Early Interceptive Orthodontic Program.
In her own time, Amber enjoys hot yoga, cooking and reading with her daughters.
Mery
Reg. Dental Hygienist.
Mery is one of our dental hygienist here at AKD.
Mery graduated from the University of Tel Aviv 20 years ago.
Mery is commended by patients for her gentle touch in treating children.
Mery demonstrates a friendly and calm demeanor in all her patient interactions. Mery is able to speak English, Russian, Hebrew, and Spanish. Mery is a mother and understands the needs of children making their experience with her a positive one!
Sandy
Cert. Dental Assistant CDA Level 1
Sandy is originally from Colombia and joined the AKD family in 2025. Sandy graduated from Toronto College of Dental Hygiene and auxiliaries Inc. in 2019 as a level 1 Certified Dental Assistant. She has been a welcome addition to our assisting team. Vanessa enjoys working with all our patients and their families especially in the Early Interceptive Orthodontic Program.
Heather
Office Manager
Heather joined Aurora Kids Dentistry in November of 2001. Heather did peruse other interests from January 2018, rejoining the team in October 2021. Heather has been in paediatric dentistry since August of 1995, when she graduated from The Niagara Colleges Dental Assisting Program. In 1997, she returned to college to upgrade her skills and graduated as a Level II Dental Assistant from Georgian College. Heather has been a team member in many departments within the practice and is happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Heather is married to her high school sweetheart and has two sons. Heather has been involved with the IMHA and the IMLA as a team parent, a fundraising director, apparel director and a team manager since 2007. When she is not at the office, you will find Heather at the slopes or in an arena somewhere in North America with her boys enjoying hockey and Lacrosse.
Tracy
Dental Office Administrator
Tracy joined AKD in March 2021. Tracy has extensive financial knowledge as her background is from the finance industry.
Tracy has been in the dental industry for 5 years and loves the daily interactions with all the parents and children.
Tracy has been married for 10 years and is the mother of a 3 year old boy, this helps her relate to our patients and their families.
Tracy loves to travel and spend time with her family.
Sara
Cert. Dental Assistant Level II (CDAII)
Sara joined our team in July 2023. She was a recent graduate of the dental assisting Level ll program. Sara has enjoyed learning and working with our young patients and their families. Sara is also a mother of two young boys and this makes it easy for her to relate to her young patients and the parents that bring their children to see us!
